Key Witness in Netanyahu’s Case Reports Threats Against Her Family

Hadas Klein, a central witness in the Case 1000 corruption trial against Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, reported to the police on Friday alleged threats toward her and her family.

The report followed a menacing Facebook post targeting Klein, warning, “She stole money to put in her own pocket and then she tried to blame it on the prime minister, this will cost her and her family in blood, they will not be immune, we will hunt down every single one in her family, but her we will hunt first.”

She has previously reported similar cases of online harassment and intimidation.

Klein, formerly an assistant to movie mogul Arnon Milchan, who is also a key witness in the trial, is scheduled to continue her testimony on Monday, after the conclusion of Milchan’s. She previously complained to State Attorney Amit Aisman about alleged intimidation from Netanyahu’s legal team.

While both Netanyahu and Milchan assert that the gifts exchanged were simply tokens of friendship, Klein contends that the Netanyahus demanded specific gifts, often expressing dissatisfaction when these weren’t as requested.

To secure a conviction, prosecutors must prove a clear quid pro quo relationship, indicating that Netanyahu could have influenced affairs in Milchan’s favor.
