Missile Attack Sets Cargo Ship Ablaze Near Yemen’s Coast
Two missiles struck a cargo ship off Yemen’s southeast coast near Aden on Thursday, igniting a fire onboard, according to the British Maritime Trade Operations Agency (UKMTO). The attack occurred approximately 70 nautical miles from Aden, with US-British coalition naval forces responding to the situation. Details about the ship and its cargo remain undisclosed, and the condition of the crew is currently unknown. Following the incident, the UKMTO issued a caution to all vessels in the vicinity, urging heightened vigilance and immediate reporting of any suspicious activity to bolster maritime security.
