Nasrallah’s Death Confirmed by Hezbollah Following Israeli Strike in Beirut
Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, following an Israeli airstrike on the group’s central command headquarters in Beirut’s southern suburbs. The confirmation marks a significant blow to the Iran-backed group, which has been engaged in escalating hostilities with Israel.
Nasrallah, who led Hezbollah for 32 years, was killed in a powerful strike on Friday that targeted the group’s underground headquarters in Dahiyeh, a Hezbollah-controlled suburb of Beirut. The Israeli military said the strike also killed other top Hezbollah commanders, including Ali Karaki, as they were coordinating terror activities against Israeli citizens.

Truth and understanding
The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.
Hezbollah responded with a vow to continue its fight against Israel, stating it would battle “in support of Gaza and Palestine, and in defense of Lebanon and its steadfast and honorable people.” In Beirut, bursts of gunfire were heard, and Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV aired Quran verses after Nasrallah’s death was announced.
Nasrallah’s death represents a significant setback not just for Hezbollah but also for Iran, which has relied on Hezbollah as a key element of its influence across the Middle East. A senior Iranian official, deputy commander Abbas Nilforoushan of the Revolutionary Guards, was also reported killed in the strikes on Beirut.
