Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Friday that Israeli teams met on Thursday to discuss US cease-fire proposals with Lebanon and will continue talks in the days ahead. Netanyahu acknowledged the US efforts, saying, “Our teams met to discuss the US initiative and how we can advance the shared goal of returning people safely to their homes. We will continue those discussions in the coming days.”

The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.

The comments followed Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz’s assertion that there would be no cease-fire in northern Israel, where Israeli forces have been carrying out intense bombardments against Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed group, marking the heaviest exchange of fire in decades.
Despite reports of a US-led cease-fire initiative, Netanyahu’s office emphasized that Israeli forces are ordered to continue fighting in Lebanon with full force, dismissing claims that a cease-fire was imminent. The statement noted, “Israel shares the aims of the US-led initiative of enabling people along our northern border to return safely and securely to their homes,” adding appreciation for the US’s role in promoting stability in the region.
