PA President Mahmoud Abbas Meets Vladimir Putin in Russia
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi with Russian President Vladmir Putin. The two men met on Tuesday to discuss ways to revive the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians.

Abbas said ahead of the talks that he and Putin would discuss “how to find a political solution based on decisions of international legitimacy and ways to promote bilateral relations, not to mention several regional and international issues of common interest.”
Abbas is trying to bring the Mideast Quartet, made up of Russia, the United States, United Nations and European Union. back into the Israel-Palestinian peace process.
