Tel Aviv Stabbing Attack Leaves One Injured, Assailant Killed

A stabbing attack in central Tel Aviv on Friday left one man seriously injured and the assailant dead, according to Israeli authorities. Police have identified the attacker as Salah Yahye, 19, from the West Bank city of Tulkarem. Yahye was in Israel illegally, defense sources confirmed.

The attack occurred in a busy area of the city, initially causing confusion. Early reports described the incident as a possible shooting, but the Magen David Adom ambulance service clarified that the victim, a man in his 30s, had been stabbed. He was rushed to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, where his condition is listed as serious. Medical teams had initially assessed his injuries as moderate.

The assailant was shot dead at the scene by responding forces. Authorities have classified the incident as a terror attack. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, and police have launched an investigation into how Yahye entered Israel.
