Yemen Attack Thwarted: Sirens Triggered in Central Israel; Missile Intercepted Outside Borders
A ballistic missile launched from Yemen toward Israel was intercepted by air defenses outside the country’s borders, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed Saturday. The attack triggered rocket sirens in central Israel, prompting residents to seek shelter.
The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service reported that four people were injured while running to safety, though their conditions were not disclosed. An additional individual was treated for acute anxiety.

The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.

Communities affected by the sirens included towns in the Ayalon Valley, such as Modi’in, Latrun, Neveh Shalom, Nachshon, Mishmar Ayalon, and Kfar Bin Nun. Shrapnel from the interception reportedly fell within Israeli territory, but no immediate injuries or property damage were reported.
This marks the latest escalation involving missile threats from Yemen, coinciding with broader regional tensions. The incident comes just days after Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire in Lebanon, ending 14 months of conflict along Israel’s northern border.
The IDF has not provided further details about the launch or identified the group responsible, though the Houthi group in Yemen has previously claimed responsibility for missile and drone attacks targeting Israel during the ongoing war with Hamas in Gaza.
