We report with just one agenda: the truth.
Amani Al-Azzam, secretary-general of the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, discussed Jordan’s Master Strategy for the Energy Sector 2020-2030. The plan targets a 31% share of renewables in the country’s total power generation and 14% in the total energy mix by 2030. Al-Azzam revealed that renewable energy made up 27% of Jordan’s electricity generation as of the end of 2022, thanks to over 2.6 gigawatts of grid-connected renewable projects, mainly solar and wind.
Mohammad Ahmad, secretary-general of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, emphasized the need for Arab economic integration in renewable energy to address climate change and promote secure, clean energy production.
