Attempted Stabbing Thwarted at Gaza Settlement; Canadian Assailant Killed

A Canadian citizen was shot and killed after attempting a knife attack at the entrance to Nativ HaTara, a settlement in the Gaza Strip, earlier today. The assailant, who arrived in a rented car, was confronted by members of the local emergency squad as he brandished a knife and shouted accusations about the killing of civilians in Gaza.

The incident occurred around noon when the individual exited his vehicle at the settlement’s gate, wielding a knife and making threatening statements in English. Members of the standby squad stationed at the gate responded quickly, neutralizing the threat before he could harm anyone. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the attacker was a foreign citizen who had traveled from Israel, not from Gaza itself.
