Denmark Legislates Israeli Post-1967 Communities Out of Israel

Following the path chosen by the European Union, Denmark has passed legislation that legally differentiates between pre-1967 Israel and communities or business entities located on land Israel conquered in the 1967 war. By resolution which passed overwhelmingly (81-22), all bilateral agreements with Israel will exclude the post-1967 communities, adopting in its entirety the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, and the EU policy. Tens of millions of dollars in trade have already been cut-off from Israel through deals that are being cancelled after public demands that pension funds not invest in any Israeli business that operates in the West Bank, including Israel’s banks.
