El-Sisi Directs Madbouly To Assemble New Egyptian Cabinet
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has directed Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to form a new government following the resignation of the current cabinet on Monday, according to an official statement from the presidency.
Madbouly, who has served as prime minister since 2018, has been tasked with assembling a cabinet comprising highly qualified and experienced individuals to address a range of national priorities. El-Sisi emphasized that the new government should focus on preserving Egypt’s national security amid ongoing regional and global challenges. Additionally, the administration must prioritize improvements in the health and education sectors, bolster political engagement, and build on past successes in security, stability, and counterterrorism efforts.

Economic reform remains a critical agenda item, with el-Sisi instructing the new cabinet to attract and boost investments, support private sector growth, and tackle rising prices and inflation. The current government will continue to operate until the new cabinet is officially formed.
According to Ahram Online, a state-run news outlet, this marks the fourth cabinet reshuffle under Madbouly’s leadership, with the previous reshuffle occurring in August 2022.
El-Sisi, who commenced his third consecutive presidential term in April, will continue to serve until 2030.
