Erdogan is Available to Broker Peace between the U.S. and Iran

What do you give a nation’s strongman after he’s jailed 100,000 members of the military, journalists and virtually anyone who disagrees with him? Why not a Nobel Peace Prize? It might not be far fetched now that Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan has volunteered to mediate between President Trump and Iranian President Rouhani. It might have to be a shared prize given Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s interest in hooking up with Erdogan to pull off the “Challenge of the Century.” After all, President Trump has said a number of times how much he likes the Japanese leader while Erdogan and Rouhani seem to get along famously — or infamously.
