Faith Over Fear: Christians Stand With Israel at Feast of Tabernacles
Maayan Hoffman reports that over 500 Christian Zionist delegates from nearly 60 countries gathered in Jerusalem for the annual Feast of Tabernacles, defying the ongoing war to stand with Israel. Organized by the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem (ICEJ), the delegates arrived last week to celebrate Sukkot and show support following the October 7 massacre.
The event featured the “Roll Call of the Nations,” where representatives from each country waved their flags in unity. While attendance was lower than in previous years—down from a peak of 6,000—the atmosphere was intimate and meaningful. Held at the Tower of David in the Old City, the gathering included speeches by Israeli dignitaries and performances by choirs like Or Lamishpachot, composed of family members of fallen soldiers.

Truth and understanding
The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.
Delegates expressed a strong conviction to be present during this critical time. “For us, it is a privilege to show solidarity,” said Miguel Munoz from Honduras. Travel challenges due to the war meant many had to find alternative routes to Israel, demonstrating their commitment. David Parsons, ICEJ vice president, noted, “They’re not afraid to come, and they know now is the time to stand with Israel.”
The group participated in activities beyond the event, including visiting areas affected by the conflict. They toured the Gaza border region, attended a remembrance ceremony for victims of the attacks, and planted tulip bulbs as a memorial. Israeli officials expressed deep gratitude for the international support. MK Ohad Tal told attendees, “We don’t have a lot of friends. … The Jewish people will never forget the people who chose to stand with us during these difficult times.”
Economy and Industry Minister Nir Barkat spoke about the resilience of the Israeli people and the importance of global solidarity. Despite a significant drop in tourism, there’s optimism for increased Christian engagement in the future, and Israel hopes to welcome more delegates next year.
