Iran Screams “It ain’t so” When French Envoy Says Tehran Can’t Resume Enriching Uranium

When the French envoy to the United States said it’s not so that Iran is allowed to resume uranium enrichment when the agreement with the west expires, Iran angrily stepped in. In order to end run American sanctions and stifle Washington, the European Union has created a mechanism for trading without relying on the dollar. Continued delays in implementing the system have angered the Iranians. Iran’s deputy foreign minister threatened that if France doesn’t quickly clarify what it sees as a “major violation” of the pact, it will “act accordingly.”
