Israel To Demolish Home Of Palestinian Terrorist That Killed Prominent Activist Ari Fuld
The Israel Defense Forces announced Tuesday that it will demolish the home of Palestinian terrorist Khalil Yusef Ali Jabarin, who in September murdered well-known Israeli activist Ari Fuld in a stabbing attack in the West Bank. Jabarin was pursued and shot by his victim before himself being killed by Israeli forces. The IDF wrote in a statement that the perpetrator’s family was informed of the decision and that the army would continue to act “to deter terrorists.” The practice of home demolitions is a controversial, albeit legal one, in Israel, with opponents arguing that it does not discourage future attacks and instead comprises a form of collective punishment. Meanwhile, the manhunt continues for Palestinian Ashraf Walid Suleiman Na’alwa, who eight weeks ago shot dead two Israelis—Kim Levengrond Yehezkel, 29, and Ziv Hajbi, 35—at the Barkan Industrial Park in the northern West Bank. Na’alwa managed to flee the scene and has remained at-large despite an ongoing search-effort that has led to numerous arrests, including members of his family.
