More and more, we are seeing polls that spell the end of press freedoms as we know them. A free press was created as part of checks and balances on government. If you don’t “get it,” have a look at what is going on in countries without it. Absent press freedoms, democracy faces genuine threats. The Media Line practices what it teaches.
