Turkey Sets Anti-Dumping Fees on Solar Panel Imports From 5 Countries

Turkey on Tuesday declared the implementation of anti-dumping measures on solar panel imports from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Croatia, and Jordan, aiming to protect its domestic industry. Starting March 26, a guarantee fee of $25 per square meter will be levied on photovoltaic cells that are assembled in modules or arranged in panels originating from these countries. This decision, detailed in a communique from the Trade Ministry, stems from an investigation that began on November 25, 2023, examining the impact of these imports on Turkey’s economy. The move is set to regulate the influx of solar panels, ensuring fair competition and supporting local manufacturers in the renewable energy sector.
