UNICEF Provides 55,000 Measles Vaccine Doses to Combat Outbreak in Southern Libya
UNICEF announced on Monday that it had provided Libya with 55,000 doses of the measles and rubella (MR) vaccine to help control the ongoing measles outbreak in the southern region. In partnership with the Libyan Health Ministry and the Libyan National Center for Disease Control, UNICEF Libya procured and delivered the vaccines to the Medical Supplement Department for a national vaccination campaign against MR.

The vaccination campaign, targeting children between 9 months and 6 years old, is part of a broader effort to combat the recent measles outbreak and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the country.
