IDF Accuses Terrorists of Operating From 3 Mosques in the West Bank
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Saturday that three West Bank mosques were exploited by terrorists for attacks in November and December 2024. According to an IDF statement, armed combatants used the Jabriyat Mosque and the Khalid Ibn al-Walid Mosque in Jenin, as well as the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque in Tulkarm, to hide their operations.
Since the start of Israel’s multi-front war in October 2023, the IDF reports it has carried out about 110 airstrikes in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of at least 165 terrorists. Military officials note that on several occasions, these combatants operated out of civilian locations, including mosques, hospitals, and educational facilities.

In one incident on November 11, the Jabriyat Mosque reportedly served as a vantage point for terrorists to open fire on IDF soldiers. A subsequent search revealed a shooting range and training area inside the mosque, with dozens of spent bullet casings near each window.
During the same period, Israeli Air Force aircraft identified armed suspects firing on IDF soldiers at the Khalid Ibn al-Walid Mosque. Meanwhile, at the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque in Tulkarm, surveillance caught combatants hurling explosives from the roof.
“These are blatant violations of international law, all aimed at harming Israeli civilians and security forces while also endangering and exploiting the Palestinian people,” the IDF stated.
