Clashes at Beit El over American Peace Plan
Dozens of Palestinians protesters headed to the Beit-El military checkpoint, located at the northern entrance to the West Bank city of Ramallah, on Tuesday afternoon, and clashed with Israel soldiers. No casualties have been reported. This follows a mass march in the center of Ramallah, where thousands of Palestinians from across the West Bank gathered in support of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who will speak at the UN Security Council Tuesday to communicate the Palestinians’ rejection of the American peace plan.
