Bombing at Election Office in Pakistan Kills 14 on Eve of Parliamentary Vote

A deadly bombing targeted an election office in southwest Pakistan, killing at least 14 people and injuring more than two dozen, officials reported. The explosion occurred in Pashin, a district in Baluchistan province, on the eve of the country’s parliamentary elections. Jan Achakzai, the spokesperson for the Baluchistan provincial government, said that emergency services were rapidly transporting the wounded to nearby medical facilities, with several victims in critical condition.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
