Iraqi Airstrike Kills 5 Islamic State Fighters in Nineveh Province
Five Islamic State fighters were killed on Wednesday in an airstrike in Iraq’s Nineveh Governorate in the country’s north, the Iraqi Joint Operations Command said in a statement. The airstrike was carried out at dawn on a cave that was used as an ISIS hideout in the Hatra desert, in the southern part of the province. The airstrike was the latest in a series of attacks Baghdad has launched against Islamic State forces over the past few months.
