UAE Arrests 3 Suspects in Murder of Abu Dhabi Rabbi, Investigation Ongoing

The United Arab Emirates has announced the arrest of three individuals suspected in the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, an Abu Dhabi-based Israeli-Moldovan national. The arrests were made “in record time,” according to the UAE Interior Ministry, which emphasized the country’s commitment to maintaining security and stability.

In a statement, the ministry described Rabbi Kogan as “the Moldovan citizen” and said that an investigation was launched after his family reported him missing. Kogan’s body was discovered in the city of Al Ain, near the Omani border and approximately 150 kilometers from Abu Dhabi, Israeli authorities confirmed earlier today.

“The United Arab Emirates, with all its institutions, will spare no effort to prevent any attack on its citizens, residents, and visitors,” the ministry stated, adding that “all security agencies work around the clock to ensure the stability and safety of society.”

While the suspects’ identities have not yet been disclosed, Hebrew media reports suggested that several Uzbek nationals, allegedly recruited by Iran, were involved in the assault and later fled to Turkey. The UAE has not confirmed these allegations, stating that further details will be released upon completion of the investigation.

Rabbi Kogan, a prominent figure in the Jewish community, was reported missing by his family, leading to an Emirati investigation that swiftly identified and apprehended the suspects.
