Iran’s Navy Bolsters Defense With New Indigenous Armaments
Iran’s Navy has enhanced its arsenal with the introduction of new domestically-produced armaments, including advanced cruise missile systems and helicopters. The official delivery ceremony, held in Konarak County of Sistan and Baluchestan province, was attended by notable military officials, including Army Commander Abdolrahim Mousavi and Navy Commander Shahram Irani, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
The newly acquired weaponry encompasses the Talayieh and Nasir cruise missile systems, which are notable for their long operational ranges and destructive capabilities. Additionally, the navy received helicopters outfitted with indigenous electronic warfare systems, designed for reconnaissance missions, and carrier-launched kamikaze drones.

Commander Irani highlighted the strategic capabilities of the Talayieh system, with its 1,000 km range and in-flight direction-changing ability. The Nasir system, with a range of 100 km, is praised for its high destructive power and adaptability to various rocket-launching naval vessels.
