Iraqi Air Base Housing US Forces Successfully Counters Armed Drone Assault
Iraqi military sources have confirmed that an armed drone was intercepted and destroyed by defense systems at the Ain Al-Asad air base in western Iraq on Monday. This base, known for hosting US and international coalition forces, was targeted early in the morning in what marks the second drone attack on Iraqi bases within hours. The previous incident occurred at the Irbil airport in northern Iraq, where Kurdish counter-terrorism units neutralized a similar threat.

Truth and understanding
The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.
The group identifying itself as “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday, declaring their intent to target “occupation bases.” This terminology typically refers to foreign military installations in the region. Ain Al-Asad and Irbil airport both house US and coalition forces and have been focal points since the onset of the Israel-Hamas conflict in October, which has spurred various skirmishes and insurgent attacks across the Middle East.
Both drone strikes, occurring on Sunday and Monday, resulted in no casualties or damage, the Iraqi Army reported.
