Post-Exit Founders Explore Israel’s Tech Landscape and Future Ties
In her in-depth report for The Media Line, Felice Friedson follows a group of 45 post-exit tech founders—whose companies sold for a combined $5 billion—on a recent trip to Israel designed to connect global innovators with the country’s high-tech sector and reshape perceptions of the region. Organized by Israel Tech Mission and the Post-Exit Founders community, the visit included meetings with Israeli government officials, industry leaders, and investors, as well as visits to Hostages Square and historic sites in Jerusalem.
The trip took place at a time when reports suggest that 1,700 millionaires have left Israel, raising fears of a brain drain due to war and political instability. But David Nakar, who helped coordinate the delegation, insists those fears are overstated, noting equal flows of talent entering and leaving Israel.

Truth and understanding
The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.

The founders—mostly male, and many visiting Israel for the first time—shared a wide range of motivations for joining the trip, from business opportunity to personal reflection. Several participants were surprised by the disconnect between media portrayals and the on-the-ground reality. “I was really thinking I’m coming to a war zone,” said Turkish American entrepreneur Sahin Boydas. “Now I see how amazing the people are.”
While no immediate deals were struck, organizers say investment conversations are underway. The trip, as Friedson reports, left many participants not only more connected to Israel but inspired to pursue new ventures with broader purpose.
