‘Black Box’ in Egypt Allows Artists to Break Boundaries
The “Black Box” is a new initiative in Cairo that aims to provide a space for independent artists to share their work. Musicians, dancers, actors and other artists can practice and perform without coughing up the funds to pay for marketing or a venue. For each monthly event, the public can apply to perform by submitting monologues, short plays, films or musical performances.
