Controversial HRW Figure to Speak in Amman
Omar Shakir, Israel and Palestine director for Human Rights Watch, will speak at Columbia Global Centers in Amman January 8 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Shakir was deported by Israel in late November under an Israeli law that permits the government to expel visitors who actively advocate for the BDS movement.
