EU, UNESCO, The National Bank Campaign Against Gender-based Violence

As part of a 16-day campaign against gender-based violence in the Palestinian territories, EU and UNESCO delegations visited the Jerusalem branch of The National Bank’s (TNB), where the bank’s chairman, Talal Nasereddin, announced the partnership calling for the immediate elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls. This year’s campaign, Together Against Violence, involves 68 national and international partners and has three key objectives: to pass legislation to safeguard the fundamental human rights of women and girls; raise awareness of domestic violence and promote a change in behavior; and get better access to services for gender-based violence survivors. During the first three days of the campaign, an estimated 25,000 TNB clients saw the campaign, which was promoted in all the branches, on ATM screens, and in social media and advertising e-banners. The delegations toured the branch and met with staff members who promoted the campaign’s message by wearing orange t-shirts with the slogan “Together Against Violence.”
