Green Energy Project
The Green Energy Project aims to help young people change their attitude toward nature but it also focuses on adjusting their system of values.
The trouble of the modern man is that he has turned into nature’s consumer. He believes that nature is a means of satisfying his needs and irrevocably destroys things that he did not create. The primary objective of this project is to help form an ecological attitude toward nature. We will focus our efforts on the modern man and make him change his attitude to the habitable world, and see nature as an ancient home, inhabited by countless dwellers long before humankind appeared. The solar revolution is taking place in the world right now and we believe that in the next 20-25 years solar energy will be the main kind of alternative energy in the world economy. We want our students to express their own opinion openly and defend their stated position decisively and reasonably.
As a main result of the project, we expect to foster young people in awareness and responsibility regarding the basic source that provides life in all its forms – energy. By participating in the project, our students will develop skills for the promotion of ideas that will benefit everyone and even draw in followers.
The Green Energy Project is hosting a program of students and teachers on the topic “How to Save Energy at Home and at School” – discussions about alternative sources of energy, energy production and consumption, February 23-29, in Adana, Turkey.
