Iran’s Presence – South of the US Border
Date and time: Wednesday, June 24, 2020, 12 noon Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4) | 5 pm British Summer Time (UTC+1)
Featuring Joseph M. Humire
Join us next Wednesday, June 24, at 12 noon, when Executive Director of the Center for a Secure, Free Society, Joseph M. Humire, will talk about Iran’s presence south of the US border.
Mr. Humire will discuss Iran’s plans to replicate the model it has used in the Middle East to use its proxy Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations it supports to create a pincer-like grasp surrounding Israel, in the Western Hemisphere. Using its rapidly expanding ties with President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela, Iran plans to replicate the land bridge that it so successfully built in the Middle East in the Western Hemisphere, in order to enable the Iranians to threaten the United States, in ways that they have not been able to, from the Middle East.
