Iraq Hosts Seminar on Population & Development
The Iraqi Statistical Association, in collaboration with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), hosted a seminar marking the 25th year of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD). Academics and demographers discussed the progress made in Iraq over a quarter century, and plotted the way forward to guarantee that women and youth have access to quality education and reproductive health services. The conference also focused on ensuring that all forms of discrimination against women and girls are eliminated.
