Lebanon Launches Obesity Prevention Campaign
Lebanon’s Minister of Health, Dr. Jamil Jabak, has launched a national campaign to combat obesity. Dubbed “Your health cannot bear it; lose some weight,” the initiative is meant to highlight the health risks associated with being overweight. The World Health Organization recently ranked Lebanon sixth out of nine Middle East and North African countries in terms of obesity rates.
