Lecture on al-Raqqa Excavations
The University of Birmingham Archaeology Society will be holding its first lecture of this year, presented by Prof. Julian Henderson from the University of Nottingham. In his lecture, he will be talking to us about his work on the archaeological site of al-Raqqa, Syria and its history of glass production in relation to the Silk Roads.
This holiday season, give to:
Truth and understanding
The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.

Be sure to come along for this fascinating discussion and for a chance to learn more about archaeology around the world! This lecture is free for members and £2 for nonmembers. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
The lecture will be held on February 4 from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Arts Building, Room 104, Birmingham B15 2TS, UK.
