Through visual and tactile encounters, children will grasp the notion of matter in its three states. They will get a comprehension of how and why matter changes states and will have a firm grasp of the fundamental physical rules governing matter. Children will be able to connect the notion of matter to their immediate environment.

Through a series of fascinating demonstrations and inquiry-based activities, the students in this session will investigate the changing states of matter. The class will begin with a molecular movement exercise to learn about the three states of matter, after which they will experiment with and dissect each state individually.

About the facilitator
Ali Mansoori is the owner of Studio Ceramics Bahrain and the Operations Director of Mad Science Bahrain. He has extensive expertise both nationally and internationally in teaching and entertaining kids. Both youngsters and adults will like it. Mansoori is also an accomplished potter and a budding sculptor. He enjoys teaching and does it in a relaxed and approachable manner, conversing with rather than lecturing his pupils, accompanying them on an exploratory trip, and sharing and feeding both their interest and enthusiasm.
