Situation in Sudan
In 2018, the situation in Sudan was really bad. Millions of people demonstrated against the government on the streets, with three demands: freedom, peace, justice.
After five months, President Omar al-Bashir and the National Congress Party were ousted in a military coup, with the government initially led by the Transitional Military Council and now by the Sovereignty Council of Sudan. The Sovereignty Council has promised to lead a transition to democracy and to step aside by October 2022.
