Using Theater to Discuss Youth Health Issues

With funding from the United Nations Population Fund, in cooperation with the Youth and Sports Ministry and in partnership with the Zad Art Group, Nawah Theater Teams are trained to use community theater to raise awareness of youth and adolescent health issues. One such team was formed in September 2018 in Aswan, Egypt. The Nawat Team in Aswan has created and produced a theatrical performance – “Wind of the Roses” – that discusses issues such as early marriage, HIV awareness, and female circumcision. “Wind of the Roses” with be performed on December 17 from 5 to 8 pm at the Bride of the Nile Hall in Aswan.
