World’s Largest Vegan Festival Hits Tel Aviv
Vegan Fest, the world’s largest vegan festival, organized by Tel Aviv City & Vegan-Friendly, took place this past weekend at Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market. There were roughly 50,000 attendees and the festival featured more than 100 food and product stands. It also included live music, lectures about a healthy vegan lifestyle,and cooking workshops with famous chefs. Tel Aviv is commonly called “the vegan capital of the world,” as it’s home to at least 400 vegan or vegan-friendly restaurants, and is said to have the highest number of gourmet vegan restaurants in the world.
