Iran Warns Israel Against ‘New Adventures’ in Lebanon After Golan Heights Attack

In the wake of a lethal attack in Majdal Shams, Golan Heights, Iran has issued a strong caution to Israel against undertaking any military actions in Lebanon. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani emphasized the serious repercussions of what he termed “new Zionist adventures” in response to the incident, which Israel attributes to Hezbollah.

Kanaani cautioned, “Any new Zionist adventure against Lebanon, under the pretext of the Majdal Shams incident in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights,” could severely destabilize the region. He criticized Israel’s approach, asserting that “any reckless aggression by the Zionist entity could expand the scope of the war and destabilize the security of the region,” according to Al Mayadeen. He held Israel as “the main party responsible for the unexpected consequences of such foolish behavior.”

Further, Kanaani accused Israel of manipulating global public opinion: “After ten months of mass killing in the Gaza Strip, the racist Zionist entity is trying to confuse world public opinion and justify its crimes in Palestine through a false and fabricated scenario.” He also appealed to the United States to fulfill its responsibilities toward international peace and security, stressing that supporting stability and security in Lebanon and the region against Zionist attacks is “the task of the entire international community, especially the Security Council.”
