Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Forms ‘Command Center’ To Protect Nuclear Facilities
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced Monday the establishment of a command center to protect the country’s nuclear facilities. Confirmation of the existence of the newly formed center came in a report Monday that it and the IRGC’s Intelligence Organization had arrested a team allegedly planning to sabotage the Fordow Nuclear Facility. Iran said the team had been recruited by Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, the Mossad. Earlier this year, following several acts of sabotage at Iran’s nuclear facilities, Civil Defense chief Brig. Gen. Gholamreza Jalali said that a command center for nuclear defense and security would be formed.
