Israeli Forces Launch Operation in West Bank Hospital, Killing 3 Palestinian Gunmen
Israeli commandos, disguised as Palestinians, killed three gunmen in the Ibn Sina hospital in the West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday morning. The individuals targeted have been identified as Hamas member Mohammed Jalamneh, 27, and two others claimed by the Islamic Jihad faction. The Israeli military accused Jalamneh of planning an imminent attack and using the hospital as a hiding place.
The military statement indicated that the two others killed had been involved in recent attacks, and it emphasized that Jalamneh’s plan for a terror attack was thwarted through the operation.
Closed-circuit TV footage circulating online depicts around a dozen undercover troops, including some disguised as medical staff, conducting the operation. Israel’s national security minister reposted the clip on social media.
The operation was made possible by precise intelligence and guidance from the Shin Bet.
In response to the raid, Hamas said, “It is a vile crime that will not go without response. The resistance forces, who have sworn to fight the occupation until it is expelled, are not afraid of the killing policy.”
