Fatal Bus Accident on Egypt’s Coastal Highway Kills 5, Injures 59
At least five people were killed and 59 others were injured when a bus overturned on a coastal highway in Egypt’s northwestern Matrouh province on Saturday, according to the MENA news agency. The accident occurred on the Alexandria-Matrouh highway, and the victims were transported to three nearby hospitals.
Mabrouk Salem, the Health Ministry’s undersecretary in Matrouh, stated that 33 of the injured were discharged after treatment, while the remaining victims are still under medical care.
