Jordanian Relief Plane en Route to Gaza With Medical Supplies

In a bid to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, Jordan sent a plane loaded with essential medical supplies on Thursday. The state-run Petra news agency reported that the aircraft would first land in Egypt and then proceed to Gaza via the Rafah border crossing, following discussions with Egyptian authorities.

The aid comes as the conflict between Hamas and Israel continues to escalate, causing devastating loss of life. The violence erupted when Hamas launched surprise attacks on southern Israeli towns near Gaza last Saturday, provoking retaliatory strikes from Israel. As of Thursday, the death toll in the region has climbed to over 2,600. Jordan’s medical assistance aims to ensure necessary treatments for Gaza residents affected by the continuing conflict.
