“Mashaykh ” is a musical show that celebrates the Sufi heritage whose roots are spread throughout the various regions of Tunisia. It includes the music of Abdul Majeed bin Saad, Ali Al-Buraq, Hamida Ajaj, Mahmoud Aziz, Izz al-Din bin Mahmoud, Omar Yadas, and others, and draws inspiration from the spiritual heritage of a variety of Sufi orders, such as Qadiriyya, Shadhili and Aissawa.
The show is led by Maestro Mohamed Al Aswad and the artist Mohamed Al Biskri, with the participation of the National Music Ensemble, the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra and choir of the Tunisian Opera, and artists Ahmed Gilam, Hassan Saada, Aya Degnog and Mahrezia El Taweel.
