Hezbollah Rocket Attack Sparks Large Forest Fire in Northern Israel
Early Friday morning, Hezbollah launched around 20 rockets at the northern Israeli city of Safed, triggering a large forest fire and causing minor damage to a nearby building, according to Israeli authorities. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the majority of the rockets were intercepted, with the rest landing in uninhabited areas. No injuries were reported. The attack, claimed by Hezbollah, targeted a military installation in retaliation for an Israeli strike on the Lebanese village of Kfarjouz, which killed three people, including a Hezbollah operative.

Truth and understanding
The Media Line's intrepid correspondents are in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Pakistan providing first-person reporting.
They all said they cover it.
We see it.
We report with just one agenda: the truth.

The rockets ignited a significant blaze in the Birya Forest, north of Safed, which was eventually controlled by firefighting crews. The attack follows a series of intensified cross-border hostilities, with Hezbollah recently launching more than 100 rockets into Israel. In response, the IDF carried out airstrikes targeting Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon, including buildings and rocket launchers.
Since the beginning of the Gaza conflict in October, Hezbollah has conducted near-daily attacks on Israeli military positions along the border, claiming to support Gaza in its ongoing conflict. The skirmishes have led to casualties on both sides, including 26 Israeli civilians, 20 soldiers, and 438 Hezbollah fighters.
